Yesterday we basked in the anticipation of the Sun’s rising and the promise of longer days filled with light. The Sun transited into its solar month of astrological Capricorn and with this Full Moon in astrological Cancer, Sun and Moon truly are in an earth filled dance of strength and emotional nurturing.

Mother Moon is the ruling planet of Cancer and so this fullness is one of being embraced and held in the light of one who gazes upon the face of Her creation and cannot help but feel joy and love. The ebb and flow of the tides of this graceful bounty are ones that gently carry the heart filled desires and wishes of its seekers to the shores of great bounty and with Father Sun holding the port of earthy Capricorn, you will arrive bolstered and supported to dig deeply into the sands of your making.

So, with all of this blah, blah about signs and correspondences what does this Full Moon really offer?

This has been an exceptionally difficult year for many, Resiliency has been hard-won and claiming one’s power has slipped tenuously through fingers that desperately were holding on. But, there have also been moments of great joy and overcoming. We have stood strong as community(ies) and  times those we would least have expected have been our strongest support and nurturers of the potential we had overlooked.

And, now we stand at the threshold of one year ending and another soon to begin. We have the power to rewrite our stories and to seek out connections that will empower and bring joy. We have the strength to arise each morning declaring our truths (even, and especially when we think no one may take heed).

I know for many the holiday season is one of sorrow and dread. My wish is that you will feel the love that surrounds and recognize it as not having to be one of family, friends or situation, but love that you can cultivate within yourself, because you are enough.

On this day that stands in the afterglow of the Winter Solstice, my wish for you is one of standing each day in the light of the Sun and feeling the growth of that light, minute by minute, increasing in its longevity. That you might discover surprises in your journey of people that are like-minded and open to the potential in everyone. My hope is that you will trust your abilities to scale the heights and reach deeply into the sea of waters that inform and heal.
