Full Moon in Capricorn – Sun in Cancer
June 28.2018
12:53a.m.

Seems as though everywhere you look, people are seeking balance. Balance in the personal; balance in the private; balance in the public and balance in the world! Now when I say balance, I don’t mean equanimity. Balance means compromise and finding just enough of something to weigh in and complete what has been lightened of the load. I chose this perspective in working with this Full Moon.

Let’s start with a few astronomical details. When the Moon waxes Full, it is opposite in placement to the Sun on the astrological wheel. Traditionally this alignment, or opposition, is considered a place of tension between two conflicting energies. Tension is a good thing! Tension produces a new outcome from two things that act in friction with one another. It also requires us to stretch and grow in ways that may be uncomfortable for a space of time, but if you apply the pressure wisely and seek the space of compromising balance the rewards are a birthing of the best attributes of each.

So, what does this all mean? The Full Moon (Water-emotions,intuition, healing) is in the astrological sign of Earthy Capricorn; a Cardinal (new beginnings and the catalytic thrust) modality. The Sun (Fire-strength, power, magnetism) is in Watery Cancer, another Cardinal modality. Elementally, this gives us the benefit of Fire, Water and Earth. The opposition of Water (Moon) flowing within the realm of Earth’s manifest form (Capricorn) pulling on the opposite energy of Fire (Sun) heating up the Waters (Cancer) of emotions that flow from the space of family and home (Cancer). IF not tended correctly, those moody waters that span the depths and the heights(Capricorn) of expression can overrun and flood what hold the potential of quickened and enlivened (Solar enlightened) feelings that arise from the safety and comfort of a self-chosen home and family (Cancer). The sweet spot is what lay in the middle that gives the promise of just enough strength (Sun) and loving support (Cancer) that moves with assurance (Capricorn) as it explores how far its powerful reach extends; just like a gentle ebb and flow of the tides (Moon) as the shoreline is reshaped and reformed by its efforts. Here’s the fun part in working with these energies….

Pause:
Take a moment to simply “be” in the full light and downpour of Mother Moon’s loving gifts. Drink in the light of Father Sun’s potency in seeking the magnetic radiance of a most special solar child within waters that soothe and transform. Think and feel both of these extremes; the coolness of the Moon and the heat of the Sun; rays of each other’s brilliance interwoven as streams meandering and etching their imprint in the foundation of earth’s beauty-of your beauty.

Reflect
Now, reflect on how this energy feels as it pours in from either extreme of night and day; light and dark. What will you allow each of these gifts to bathe in their gifts? Where will you find the place of centeredness and balance? Your Heart (Water) and your Will/Intention (Fire) are ready to coalesce and reshape the foundations and landscape (Earth) of who you perceive yourself to be in this world; and deep in your vessel of corporeal form. Reflect- mirror back to yourself the image of yourself as Sun and Moon, as Earth and Water.

Then, Go!
Breathe and go! Run with this image of you in all of your parts, a newly birthed being of Sun and Moon finding that point of tension and resolution of Fire (Sun) and Water (Moon) flowing through a form and way of being (Earth) that is a compromise and composite of opposing energies.

I don’t know about you, but this Full Moon I need something more to flow through the lunar gates. I need a new perspective on learning to bridge the inherent cycles that cause the Sun and the Moon to move in their celestial dane through the Solar Year and the Lunar Months. As they say, I need to see both sides of the coin and somewhere within the differences that present is a mid-point of outpouring. So, maybe for this moon you will meet me in the middle!

The Beauty of a New Darkness-New Moon in Libra

New Moon in Libra
3:12p.m. (EDT)

Sun in Libra

The moon waxes new this afternoon in the astrological sign of Cardinal (beginnings and catalyzing) Libra. Libra is of the Air element and its symbol is scales of balance. Its focus is that of balancing and harmonizing the mental process through the vision of beauty and refinement; think of image of Venus on the half shell.

I decided to do something a little different for this writing and placed the energies available for this moon’s phase in the context of astrological fiction. The piece is entitled, “The Beauty of a New Darkness”, an astrological tale in 3-parts.

As the solar energies are in their very last potency aligned with Libra and readying to transit into a new solar month of Scorpio on October 23rd. and we are nearing Samhain’s gates, it seemed like an appropriate expression of creativity to offer. Enjoy…

Rekindling Hope! Full Moon in Aries

October 5.2017
Full Moon in Aries
2:40p.m.(EDT)

The Harvest Moon glows brightly and large in the night sky on Thursday in the astrological sign of Cardinal Fire, Aries. This moon brings with it the fires of new beginnings (Cardinal) around how we choose to act ( or react) and exert our will. And, it also brings the gift of refreshing the fires that hold us strong in our power.

The Harvest Moon is the full moon closest in date to the Autumnal Equinox (September 22.2017, this year). So, we might say that esoterically, this Full Moon brings with it the energy of a balanced point of space (the Equinox) allowing for the synthesis and integration of what has preceded it and flowing into what will come. This is also bolstered by the annual transit of the Sun into Libra, balance of mind and refinement of what evolves and flows into the next solar month of Scorpio.

We are all feeling charred and dampened down in spirit after the events of these past two months. Natural disasters, irrational and deadly behaviors and everywhere loss of life and or the security of home. We have all been effected by these, whether we have been in the midst of the crisis or safe and secure watching from afar; we are all part of the human experience and condition. And, so we feel the rippling out of waves of fear and loss of hope.

This full moon is an opportunity to revisit the enthusiasm and unstoppable hope that the innocence of childhood brings. Aries, is the first sign of the Great Wheel and being Cardinal Fire is the catalytic first spark that sets into motion the story woven through each of the astrological signs and stages of development that occur from there forward. It is exactly this energy that we can use to reset our emotions and feed and reignite the flame of hope we carry within.

Uranus Retrograde

The planet, Uranus, carries the full pulse of electrical charge that is the higher amplification of Mercury’s communicative flash. Its energy is one of pure impulse and works directly on the neural pathways. The Uranus retrograde ( since August 2nd – January 2.2018) has methodically exposed the raw nerve that electrifies our neurological system and the resultant flight or fight instinct. As events have been amping up in intensity and impulsiveness, our autonomic responses have also been heightened. Let’s scale that electrical impulse back a bit and allow the Moon in Aries to cancel out some of the overwhelming charge.

Aries is ruled by the planet Mars, another reactionary energy whose prime directive is that of action and movement. What is often overlooked with Mars energy is that we have choice as to whether we move forward, charging blindly ahead and without a plan or take the time to fuel the fires of its action in a planned and intention-filled way that will pull us forward and out of the mire that weighs us down without simply spinning our wheels in futile anxiety driven effort. So, what I am proposing is to allow Uranus to open the pathways and then fill them with the inspiration of Aries’ fires of renewal and let them flush through the darkened emotion ladened waters (Moonscape) bringing light and a vision of hope that is guided by youth’s undaunted spirit.

The Sun in Libra

The Libran Sun seeks balance and the restoring of harmony filtered through the conceptualization of thought (Libra is an Air sign). Add this to the mix of renewed hope and clarity and let the strengthening of the Sun restore balance and allow you to see with clarity and purpose. In this way, we are able to choose our battles, speak on behalf of those who have lost their voice, contribute our energy to restoring hope to those who have lost the most and much, much more. In other words, refill your storehouse so that you have the reserves needed when you are called upon to help another.

I stand outside bathed in a warm glow of light and the Harvest Moon whispers to me…

I know your secrets
I know your joys
I know your sorrows
I know who you are.

I have seen all that
Has been is and will be.

I have seen evolution and growth
Devolution and decay
And the ebb and flow of
My waters have brought from
The sea of creation life that
Will begin the cycle anew.

Peace and community
War and famine
Building and destruction
Wisdom and arrogance.

I have know all of these
Things and yet I remain
Watchful and filled with hope
For the potential I see.

The land is filled with
Potential for what the next
Planting and harvest will bring.

You are filled with potential for
What your next actions and offerings
Will bring.

I know your secrets and now
You know my mysteries and the
Gift of your place within them.

I invite you to take 25 minutes and join me in a pathworking to stabilize and refuel as the Harvest Moon looms large and glows with the warming orange light of renewal.

New Moon in Taurus-Calling the Four Holy Creatures

Posted in Astrology, Auspicious Days, Esbat, New Moon on April 26, 2017 by themagickalpen

April 26.2017
New Moon in Taurus
8:16am.

Sun in Taurus

The Moon began its waxing journey New this morning a 8:16am (EDT) in the astrological sign of earthy Taurus, The Bull. Beyond the usual astrological attributions of Taurus, a deeper meaning and energy of Taurus can be accessed as one of the Four Holy Creatures.

Read More about the gifts of astrological Taurus:
A Fiercely Beating Heart: The Sun in Taurus

The Four Holy Creatures

The Four Holy Creatures are the expression of those parts of self that live in corporeal form, yet remain always as points of connection and aspiration towards our Divine nature. Those parts of our being that align with the elements, both in their alchemical and metaphysical states form the cross points within and from which we engage the process of evolving and reaching beyond our physical form and consciousness.
These Fixed signs of the astrological Great Wheel represent sustainability, longevity and permanence; each of the four holding the blueprint of one of the elements:

Taurus- The Bull/Earth
Leo- The Lion/Fire
Scorpio- The Scorpion:EAGLE:Phoenix/Water
Aquarius- The Water-Bearer (Human)/Air

In their evolved states, as the Four Holy Creatures, they encompass the necessary foundations and components to produce Form (manifest life) from that which is Form-less (Spirit).
In their designation as the Four Holy Creatures, each is winged, denoting elevation or an arising of their core energies to a state of higher awareness and use. They are represented as:

The Four Holy Creatures
Ox/Bull Lion Eagle Man
Strength Courage Swiftness Intelligence
Patience Nobility Aspiration Devotion

We could think of these energies in this way:

In It’s Mundane State….

Taurus, the Bull represents the strength, fecundity and anchoring of an animal that is large and sturdy in its presence. It will charge if provoked, and is ruled by its instinctual needs for survival.

The Winged Bull has now taken those instinctual directives and elevated them to be used in the building and anchoring of the Spirit. We tend to cast aside what we consider to be our “baser” nature as a human when on the quest for spiritual growth, which, given that we have chosen corporeal, human (animal) form is another way we disconnect and see our spiritual nature as being something separate from our physical drives. Each are vital to the whole of the experience we have chosen this lifetime and cultivating the higher forms of what serves our survival in this realm will allow the manifestation of survival in the realms of Spirit.

In It’s Mundane State….

Leo, the Lion represents courage and responsibility for its community. The Lion is a fierce hunter and even fiercer guardian of its pride and lands. It commands attention and the bellow of its roar speaks of its dominion as a predator.

The Winged Lion commands its place as master of its spiritual nature; having gained mastery over predicating what no longer serves and weakens the needs of the collective. This energy is one of claiming, through effort and skill, the Divine Kingship that is our birthright. These are the Spiritual Fires that electrify and magnetized all that we are as human and Divine.

In It’s Mundane State….

Scorpio, as the Scorpion is its most traditional assignation. The creature that lurks below and issues a deadly sting if disturbed; and at times, stinging itself in the process. Scorpio is the only astrological sign that overtly has 2 other levels of expression. The second being the Eagle.

The Eagle, as one of the Holy Creatures, offers the space of keen awareness of all that has transpired in the efforts to reach the heights finally achieved through hard work and laying bare all that would keep us below the surface. The Eagle soars on the currents of water that is breath and air itself and the elevation and lifting of the Spirit that results from this freedom to move, unsupported or tethered to earth, reminds us of the true lightness of our Being.

In It’s Mundane State….

Aquarius, the Water-Bearer represents the flow of mind poured out in a continued stream of return back to its source of acquisition. Aquarius is often mistaken as a water sign , because of those flowing waters, but the true mystery lay not in the waters, but in the empty and air-filled space of the vessel. This is the container of potential and much like the flow of thoughts and ideas, they must be routinely shared and communicated so that space is created for others.

The Winged Man is the reconciliation of conscious awareness of our Divine potential and nature. Many have heard the phrase that we are “Divine Beings having a Human Experience”, but, try as we might we often forget how profound that statement truly is. More importantly we fail to acknowledge its correctness at all levels of our being. The Winged Man (aka. The perfected Man) is one who walks in all of the worlds give more credit to neither the Spiritual or Physical form he/she holds because the consciousness of gnosis has been achieved and both are at once a tiny drop in the cosmic sea and the sea itself.

These images of the Four Holy Creatures of spiritual perfection are held in the aethers; accessible yet easily transparent in their energies unless conscious awareness and action is taken towards clarifying their purpose. Taken as a whole, each a polarity and resonance of the other, it is fitting that these Four Holy Creatures also represent the Ages of Humanity. For Humanity, as a collective whole itself , must transit through the elements of evolution before coming full cycle back to the primordial place of its collective creation.

Now at this time of the New Moon in Taurus, I call to the strength and awareness of manifest and physical form. The Bull, that guards and protects and holds strongly anchored in who and what it is. I call to the energy of allowing what is steeped in instinctual and physical response to become a creature of elevated form and nature. This is the aspiration of what is driven by the desire to survive that lifts that desire to the space of manifesting and individual who is instinctually attuned to the Divine and moves in accord with a higher purpose. And in this calling al of the Holy Creatures shall answer for their nature is one of wholeness…

How To:
Find a quiet space where you will not be disturbed (and would be able to move a bit). Of thin air.

Sting of new beginnings.

Structure and form taking
Shape as carefully calculated
Pause instinctively recoils……

Tonight the Moon waxes full in the astrological sign of Capricorn-Cardinal Earth. We need a space of strengthening after the recent events of several month’s worth of injustice, hate, violence, terror and words spoken that reek of content that is neither honorable nor truthful. Now, the need for sure-footedness and graceful navigation on an earth that is shifting and changing in response to humanity’s cries for change!

Although Sun and Moon are in opposition (the usual aspect for a Full Moon), the sweet spot is the ability to refine and navigate the emotional landscape with the ease of the Sea-Goat; the astrological symbol for Capricorn. This is a creature that is able to dive into the depths of sea waters and scale the heights of aether and air. All with the preciseness and grace of the
goat or ram of our physical existence.

Cancer is a water sign, ruled by the Moon and is steeped in the identification and security of home and family (whether biological or other). Here the emotions run deep and are fed by relationships that fill the heart’s thirst for interconnectedness. Capricorn, takes that space of centeredness or the secure mid-ground, if you will, and uses it as the earthly rooted tether that allows for movement back to the waters of home that fed it or up towards the heavens and outer world that inspire it. Thinking on these two as Father (Sun) and Mother (Moon), the mid-point of rootedness is knowing that each is in support of fostering emotional support and encouraging the exploration of moving out into the world in search of what that new definition of stability and security may become.

Capricorn is an Earth sign and the quality of earth expressed is that of strength and agility in navigating the paths of mundane existence, both pleasurable and challenging. Its modality is Cardinal in nature, which means that strength and agility will be rooted as the foundational energy of fresh starts, new gifts of manifest earthly) use and the building of skills that will serve in future strivings. The ability to remain firmly rooted and anchored in whatever goal is set and to remain steadfast in the accumulated efforts towards that goal can be called upon to stabilize. The bumps in the road do not change, but your approach and the means by which you get to that place you desire can become intentional acts of anchoring and centeredness. All, very useful in how we choose to proceed in the months ahead and what we remember of the challenges that have been left behind.

All A Quiver-Full Moon in Sagittarius

Full Moon in Sagittarius
5:14 p.m. (EDT)

Sun in Gemini Transit: May 20
10:36a.m. (EDT)

We began the Solar Month of Gemini on Friday as the last 48-hrs. of Mercury’s (planetary ruler of Gemini) retrograde holds us accountable and cautious regarding matters of communication. Very opportune, giving the Full Moon’s energies of Sagittarius and the potential to allow the seeds of our catalytic will to be carried out into the world; arrows aflame! Think of this space of time as the additional care to be given as the archer’s bow and arrow are aligned precisely where we wish to hit the mark of change and stimulate new growth.

This is one of two Full Moons that will wear the mantle of Sagittarian energy, the second occurring next month on June 20th and will be in its 29th degree wearing its developed and mature garb. This Moon heralds the first steps in stepping into Sagittarius’ energy at the 1st degree. Even, this dynamic is one that we can harness, using this Full Moon’s energy with a similar intention of cycle that flows from New Moon to Full Moon. Apply this to the waxing of Sagittarius’ fiery energy: this Full Moon sees the first picking up of the bow that will then hold the arrow of intention that are released and, if sure and true, will hit its mark and become the fullness of flame (at June’s 29th degree Full Sagittarian Moon) and heat that cause lasting change!  Pretty cool, isn’t it?

Riding the wave of this energy, we are moving along a Fire Moon’s path that culminates on the Full Moon of the Summer Solstice, also June 20th and the transit of the Sun into the astrological sign of watery (and Moon ruled) Cancer. Think of this apex in this way:

On the longest day (Summer Solstice) when Father Sun crests in his vitality and strength, that heat is cooled by Mother Moon’s waters of fiery and quickened intent (Sagittarius). Their dance is a Tango, passionate and flowing, yet sharp and precise in the pointed nature and intention of each gesture and posture (the sharpened arrows of Sagittarius). He gives the full burst of energetic response, his emotions rising in heated desire (Transit into Cancer and waters enlivened by Sun’s rays) with each caress and entwining of embrace. The celestial music plays and as the day’s energies wane, the dance slows as the consummate union of Sun and Moon, Masculine and Feminine, Fire and Water herald the promise of new creation.

Rewind to this Full Moon of May: This is the space of planning, practicing and preparing for whatever the bull’s eye of your intention is. Bows raised in the first release of intention that we seek to enliven with the fires of change. Sights set on what will be catalyzed. Breathe deeply and let go! With the help of the Sun in Gemini, and its last efforts (Retrograde until Sunday, May 22nd) at slowing things down enough to give your intentions time to communicate with your actions, we have greater potential of actually hitting the goal with fewer attempts.

All A Quiver..

An additional dynamic to this Full Moon energy is a conjunction formed between the Moon and Retrograde Mars in Sagittarius. A conjunction occurs when the planets involved are within an orb up to 10-degrees of each other. In this case both the Moon and Mars are at 1-degree aspects.

Mars energy is active, assertive and can serve productively if positively directed. The retrograde intensifies the need to be active, so impulsivity or spontaneity can be favorable in allowing for flexibility of change or derailing the best efforts. This also means that tension will arise and the tautness that occurs replaces flexibility with rigidity. But, tension, more accurately just the right application of tension can bolster the efforts of  Sagittarius’ natural predisposition towards outreach and action. This ties in well with the directive of Mercury and its retrograde putting extra pressure on detail and precision in communication (or letting those arrows fly).

Envision this Mars-Moon conversation as one of emotional desire (Moon) that is allowing the will towards action (Mars) to assist in the co-creation of of change and broader dialogue that reaches beyond (Sagittarius) the normal boundaries that we often self-impose.

As the light of this blessed Full Moon shines stand in the space of your readiness to ignite the night sky with your arrows of action and intention….

Please enjoy a Pathworking into the Hall of Sagittarius

Full Moon in Leo

Saturday’s lunation marks the first of 2016’s Full Moons. Mother Moon shines brightly in the astrological sign of Leo. Father sun has just entered his reign in the Fixed Air of Aquarius and the conversation is one of charismatic strength of heart (Moon in Leo) and an illuminated mind (Sun in Aquarius) of future’s vision and the potential therein.

Add to this Retrograde Mercury in earthy Capricorn, just about ready to station direct and 16-day old Retrograde Jupiter in analytical and practical Virgo and the recipe is ripe for getting (Mercury) right to the heart of the matter (Virgo) while maintaining a flexible (Jupiter) attitude.

And, what about it being the first Full Moon of the year? That’s pretty cool as well with some very potent energy that may be called upon with a very specific intention. Numerologically, 2016 resonates to the number 9 (2+1+6); the number of transmutation, endings, beginnings and the thresholds that are crossed as old becomes new. This is the space and potential of initiation into the mysteries of the unknown.

What better way to begin this year of transformation than under the watchful gaze of of the fiery Moon of Leo. Not just any fire, but Fixed Fire. you know, these are the fires that burn strong as they remove what no longer is viable and prepare the way for what “can become”. Use this Full Moon to heat the waters of your own creative nature and catalyze the dialogue the sun of your will and the moon of your heart’s capacity to stand strong and roar loudly as you fiercely protect what you hold most dear.

What will you claim as your power in this new year?

On the night of this Leo Moon, I will sit on the shores of my vast ocean. Head lifted and mane flowing as I lay in regal repose. The tides will flow and I will remain as guardian of the Gates that hold the mysteries of the depths of who and what I will become. And, in morning sun’s light, all that I envisioned and all that was revealed will ride the arc of sun’s light and I will carry the memory of this moonlit night and the power of my fullest expression into the promise of a year of transformation.

So Mote It Be!!!

A side note: Geographically, where I live we are expecting a blizzard this weekend. Saturday is predicted to be the mid-point of this blanketing of heavy and very wet snow. How to tweak a bit more intention from this lunation?

I will be en-visioning the spark of growth that lay beneath this snow. The ground is cold and frozen but life stirs within it; ready to brighten the world at March’s end. This is the promise that all initiatory experience (remember the 9 of this year) holds. This is the work of that process. To provide what appears to be the challenge of freezing over what we wish to see blossoming sooner rather than later. But, in the wisdom and intelligence of the heart (Moon) and the strength (Sun) of what will ultimately “be”, this is merely the means to stir into action and catalyze (Leo) what is quickening beneath as natural response to this imposed state of contractive creation (Jupiter Retrograde). Nonetheless, the message is clear (Mercury getting ready to station Direct) and nature in her abundance takes hold. Life stirs beneath the snow and frozen earth and although hidden for now from visible sight, the priming of Spring’s first budding becomes the vision that warms the soul (Aquarius) on the cold winter’s night.

Keeping It Real! Full Moon in Taurus

Full Moon in Taurus
8:05am (EDT)

Sun in Scorpio

The moon waxes full in the astrological sign of Taurus this morning bringing an opportunity to explore what grounds us as the waters run deep and passionately. Taurus is an Earth sign of the Fixed Modality. Earth provides stability and a place from which to grow, inclusive of all that is physical and manifest in quality.  The Fixed Modality provides an energy of structure, being able to synthesize what seeks to contribute more of its energy and drawing that into a space that can transform and make more useable the by product as it flows out to a more flexible state. The symbol of the Bull is associated with Taurus and that selection alone gives rise to understanding of how strong this foundation can be.

Taurus is the strength that stands its ground secure in the sheer power it knows it can exert in holding steady whatever its focus may be. Apply this to the lunarscape of emotions and you have the recipe for staying the course and a certain predictability of response.  It is for this reason that workings using the energy of a Taurus Moon benefit the most when they involve a shoring up of what we consider out foundations of heart to be.

You know the proverbial image of the bull in the china shop reeking havoc on the delicate collectibles? I like to think f this scenario not so much as a representation of the awkwardness and lack of grace held in an animal that is far too large and solidly built to be in such refined spaces; but rather as an idea of how strength and girth carves out new boundaries for its impact when inhibited by what is far too fragile in the first place. What is in this situation is not the bull, who by the way, is simply doing and moving in the same way it would in any setting. The objects that are held static and on display to be appreciated, simply for their beauty rather than the actual function they may serve are what provide the setting for chaotic dismantling.

As with each Full Moon alignment, the Sun is directly opposite the Moon; in this case the astrological energy of this solar month is that of Scorpio. Scorpio is a Water sign of the Fixed Modality and has the infamous identification as the sign of excess, addictions, uncontrolled passions and seeking into the depths of shadow and the occult, never to return to the real world again. And, as with each of the signs of the Zodiac, these are only the predispositions towards imbalance in what Scorpio has as its gift.

Scorpio is also one that has the ability to truly transform. The symbol of usual reference is that of the Scorpion, hidden and ready to strike out whether provoked, or not. There are also two other associations. One being the Eagle and having the keenest of sight, perched above and able to select that which is appropriate prey to nourish and sustain. The third is the Phoenix, the creature that purposefully cleanses with the Fires it has created of its own free will and rises from the ashes, stronger, more beautiful and wiser than in its previous iteration. And, during this solar month, the Sun is shining brightly into those areas that need some of that energetic housecleaning and transformation. This becomes the funeral pyre that burns away the dross of emotional baggage that inhibits growth and forces the death and rebirth of something better than before.

Traditionally, these two points of alignment between Sun and Moon are considered oppositions and the implication is one of a tug of war; each pulling on the other in an effort to upset the status quo. This opposition is precisely what is needed to draw the best from both and force each to play nice with one another. I use the word force here in that the process often begins with resistance and the need for will and desire to take hold and set the right intention that will attract what is needed from the energy of both.

Keeping It Real!

I see this Full Moon as a rare opportunity to allow the freedom to explore, indulge and fuel my passions while holding the intention of remaining firmly anchored in the strength of my manifest power. Scorpio is highly intuitive and as such, it is not always easy to sort out what is reality, fantasy or something else altogether. But, if I make use of Taurus’ deep connection to all that constitutes the physical world I live in, I can allow the tether line to reach a little further into the astral and etheric realms, bringing back that which is needed.

Both Moon and Sun are providing the light that illuminates the emotional landscape that is held in the deepest parts of self. Taurus provides the vessel of physical form that Scorpio may work its magick of transforming the desires of heart that are both intuitive and real in their actions.

Mother Moon sits high
In darkened starlit sky
Body strong and full
Guardian and protectress
Of earth’s lands that she surveys.

Sun reaches deep into
Waters dark and thick
Pulling to the surface
The mysteries of the heart.

Moon and Sun each light
Illuminating what is to be.

Moon and Sun companions
Birthing what is to be.

I sit in the light of both
Dipping deep into my desire
Passion rises like waters
Boiling up and form gives way
To visions and on lofty wings
I soar and fly.

Sun my raging passion and
Moon the healing balm that
Quiets the pain of change.

I strain and resist the truth
Of my inner sight and wings
Beat furiously carrying me
High into the unknown night.

In the arms of Mother Moon
I find quiet – rest and rebirth
The flames have risen
The ashes been rendered
And to earth and form
I now return.

The labors of my journey
In the fullness of Moon
Heart’s orb now held within
My body of strength as Sun
Commands the day.

Many Blessings of Taurus Full Moon’s Strength……

The Moon is New in the astrological sign of Libra.  Cardinal Air and the balance and refinement needed to bring into the aethers those thoughts that will lift and inspire. Maiden Moon is hidden from view but Hers is the energy that tests the waters of faith. Faith that she shines brightly despite her dark veil. Faith that she will come to Her fullness as the days pass and in that fullness the splendor of her beauty will shine down. Faith that as is the cycle of all things She will pass into her mantle of wisdom and deep gnosis. Read more …..

Full Moon in Pisces
2:35 p.m.

Sun in Virgo

Step softly into my arms
Feel the feathery brush of my kiss
For you are my Beloved
And I tremble within your embrace.

Our hearts beat strongly as one
Our bodies no longer defined and
I rest in the sweet breath of your exhale
Gazing back into your loving face.

Our union in rapture complete
Soul’s yearning finally at peace
The Illuminated One my beloved
Mirror of SELF in Divinity released.

The Moon waxed Full just a few hours ago and the atmosphere is filled with a quiet and gentleness that has not been so for some time now. It is a momentarily reprieve from some very dynamic and charged astrological energy and much like the solace found in the arms of a loved one after the battering of the world; this is a time to renew and languish in the healing waters. Mother Moon is in the astrological sign of Pisces, the mistress of compassion and healing;  and although She squared off with Saturn in Scorpio early this morning, the tension between the two is offset by Retrograde Neptune also in Pisces, the astrological sign it Rules.

Water is everywhere, Pisces and Scorpio- the Moon and Neptune – and Saturn has a part to play in the order it is striving towards much like the Mother that accepts nothing but the best for her beloved and will stop time itself to provide what is needed. The intuitive heart of Scorpio (Saturn) guides this process but what it reveals may not be what you feel is needed. Put aside fear of reaching into those dark waters and remember that change and ultimately transformation are the same components needed to heal a wound or repair a heart that has been broken.

There is a great depth to felt with this Full Moon; Neptune supporting that deeper reach into waters that are filled with unseen potential, but carry the gift of bioluminescence to protect and to light the way. Saturn in Scorpio provides the Gate to probe into those deeper mysteries of our emotions and intuitively seek what is needed to bring structure to a compassion that flows freely and strongly (Pisces) often without regard to its own nurturing. This is the tension of a conflict (square) that is balanced by foundational sides that are not so dissimilar in nature; each having a valid point and perspective in a tug of war between giving too much and holding back.

We can call upon the aid of clarity from the Sun in Virgo. Here we will find the balance of will and strength that has practiced long the work of analyzing, sorting and finding the best that can be had towards productive result. Here we have informed (Virgo being ruled by Mercury, the master communicator) Will that stimulates this flow of waters that rise high and reach deeply. Compassion, for self and others, loosened the hardest of hearts. Deep and abiding love for self and others, unblocks any challenge that wish to pull us away from a path of understanding. And, a heart that knows what lay on the surface as well as what remains in the abyss below can bring resolution to what prevents us from seeing the truth of the world.

Tonight I will hold my beloved
Tonight I will honor my ability to feel deeply and strongly
Tonight I will allow the hand of the Divine to guide me
Tonight I will breathe deeply into the gentle light of my compassionate self

Tonight I will hold my beloved
And the illusions of the world will fall away
