6:43am (EDT)

Sun in Leo

The Blue Moon of July waxes full tomorrow morning at 6:43a.m. This is the second full moon to occur this month. The first punctuating the first day of July and this one underscoring the last. And, these two full moons were held in Father Sun’s mantles of polarity calling forth the power of Nurture (Sun in Cancer) and Nature (Sun in Leo).

The Full Moon of July 1 set the stage for healing at both the emotional and the levels of will. The foundations and earthiness of Capricorn provided the structure for those lunar waters to flow strongly and productively. Father Sun gently warmed those Cancerian waters to bolster, strengthen and nurture what lay within and provide just enough electromagnetic stream to attract what would serve.

Curtain up and lights full blaze as this Full Moon steps into the spotlight calling to itself what it requires-what it demands and what it will claim as its own to ensure success. Father Sun now wearing the brilliance of Leo’s power sets the waters of an Aquarian Full Moon ablaze as the emotional landscape opens itself to uncharted streams and rivers that lead out to a sea of new vision. The will to survive and to create is fueled by the desire to know and the instinctual actions taken to sustain.

This Full Moon offers a date with destiny as solar will attracts to itself the tools and emotional adjustments required to allow the revelation and truth of your power at all levels of your being. We, as a collective whole have been changing and evolving just as surely as the planets and stars have been moving into dialogue and positioning themselves just so in their orbital paths. Individually, the increased dynamics of cosmic energy we have experienced, this year alone, has affected even the most stable and grounded of persons; taking them outside of their comfort zones.

As we embrace the fullness of this moon’s dynamic, remember to reach back into the space of nurturing and honoring oneself that has been established. Then, allow yourself to be open to the experience of seeing beyond the horizon of what you believed yourself to be capable of achieving.

The Fantastic Four (FIVE)

There have been some very interesting events over the past few months that have stirred the underpinnings of life as we know it. Potent Solar flare activity electrified our planet’s energy fields at multiple levels and those sensitive to the solar fires felt the amplification up of neurological function.

And, with the retrograde of Venus last week on the 25th and Uranus the next day, we currently have five planets in “pause”. Saturn will station direct on August 1st., but the Lord of Time’s impact has been felt as boundaries of linear time and the resultant shattering of an outdated structure have re-assembled and reconfigured to maximize our greatest potential for growth.
Read more …..Saturn Retrograde- Time to Clean House

As Saturn loosens its point of focus, four planets will remain in retrograde:

Venus in Capricorn- July 25 through September 6
Venus Retrograde- Stop in the Name of Love!

Pluto in Capricorn April 16 through Sept. 25
Pluto Retrograde- You’ve Been Served!

Neptune in Pisces June 12 through November 18
Neptune Retrograde- Lifting the Veil

Uranus in Aries July 26 through December 25
Uranus Retrograde- Deflecting Light

As we move through the next several months the place of emphasis and potential for reshaping these areas will relate strongly to what we have crafted as our foundations of past effort and the relationships cultivated in our current world of manifestation (Pluto and Venus in Capricorn), boundaries of compassionate and healing flow (Neptune in its natural ruler of Pisces) and stimulating enough disruption to the status quo to create the fires of will that are undaunted by challenge (Uranus in Aries).

Being mindful that these dynamics are at play and spurring us on towards healing our past and accepting accountability for our future will add the component of intention to each challenge we face. Intention that knows when to surrender to our Higher Will and nurture all that is the best and the worst in us. And, intention that realizes the need to act and follow our natural and instinctual drives that make us uniquely human and connected to all of life on this planet.

Time to Simply Be…

In the fullness of this Moon of Aquarius. I will simply “Be”
I will not script out a ritual or working. I will simply “Be”
I will allow the energy of the day to move through me. I will simply “Be”
I will sit in the evening’s light looking up to the fullness of my Lady. I will simply “Be”

And, in this space of quiet, surrender and communion
I will simply “Become”

Full Moon in Aquarius

2:09 p.m. (EDT)

Sun in Leo

The tension has been building and tomorrow afternoon the Moon waxes full in the astrological sign of Aquarius.  No doubt, you may have noticed that people are a little more “hot-wired” than usual with nervous energy flowing like water. Uranus (now retrograde and potent as an exposed electrical wire) is the master of electrical impulse (and the physiologic neurologic system) and is the ruling planet of the astrological sign of Aquarius. Add the expansiveness of the Full Moon and flowing emotions, mind (Aquarius) and the nervous energy (Uranus) and you have electricity discharging at an emotional level.

Fire and Water is the theme throughout this Moon’s waxing with Airy Aquarius churning up the waters of Mother Moon. Additionally, the Fixed Modality of Aquarius is prevalent in the planetary energies and offers the necessary guidance and stability to hold the blast of this phase.  This potent phase of transition that we have been feeling for quite some time now is ready to co-mingle, interweave and establish a place of pointed balance where the vision of a new collaboration may be realized.

???????????????????????????????

(Photo taken as I was driving home tonight)

As though this were not complicated enough, there are multiple planetary energies that are weighing down the acceleration pedal of a fixed and stable vehicle that would otherwise move in a relatively smooth course from A-Z in lightning speed. This is the routine process of Aquarian energy having the greatest strength in matters of the mind and the ability to process large quantities of information quickly and reduce it to a single logical summary in a very short period of time. Apply this information processing style to matters of the heart and the flowing waters of emotion (the Lunar qualities) and you have rapidly moving and expansive waters that open out to many smaller streams of potential for expression as mind (information) carves out various open-ended options.

Something to Fix-ate On:

The Moon is not the only planet being held in the grip of an astrological sign of the Fixed modality. The stable nature of the Fixed modality can also become the rigid controller that serves as a pressure cooker, if appropriate release does not occur at some level. In this case, the focus of this pressure and the resultant pent up nervous energy is the felt from the effects of six planets in Fixed astrological signs. These are:

Sun, Mercury and Jupiter are in Fixed Fire – Leo
Moon in Fixed Air – Aquarius
Mars and Saturn are in Fixed Water – Scorpio

This is the Triad of Creation, the breath of life igniting the flame of form in the birthing waters. This fixed energy provides the container for manifesting, but can also give the feeling the feeling that there is very little wiggle room and that the flexibility of options are not at hand.

Mars and Saturn both in Scorpio

Mars in Scorpio produces an assertive and /or aggressive way of expressing your emotions. This is the energy that is punctuates by those “zingers” that come out of nowhere and are often the dredging up of long held emotional issues that have gone unsaid. Saturn then attempts to regulate and organize in cleaning up the aftermath of depth charges that have exploded. Remember I said “nervous energy” in the beginning? Most of this type of interaction is from the accumulation of pressure building until just the precise time, just the precise audience and just enough tension is gathered and nervous energy spews out what could not ordinarily have been said.

The Sun, Mercury and Jupiter in Leo’s Fires

Jupiter in Leo calls into action those sweeping fires that consume and gather into their light everything. This is the expansive nature of Jupiter and the wildfires of Leo’s need for acknowledgement can soon blaze out of control if not purposefully directed and contained.

Mercury is in the astrological sign of Leo as well. Bold, in your face and filled with passion and determination. Moon in opposition to Mercury. So, although you may be bursting at the seams ready to communicate the wisdom of your new experiences, what you say and do may be in conflict with what you are actually feeling making for frustration and difficulty making your needs known. Nonetheless, everything is drawn into the spotlight and the scramble is on to produce and perform.

The Three Outer Planets are Watching!

The three outer planets, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto remain retrograde. These are the planets that were discovered in more modern times and are considered to be the higher amplifications (esoteric expression) of three of the Seven Elder Planets:

Electrically Charged Uranus adds dynamic awareness to talkative and head strong Mercury

Veiled Watery depths of Neptune (and His Trident of Fire) lifts the loving refinement of Venus to a place of compassion

Pluto finds the cyclical wisdom of peace and regeneration in the brutality of Mars’ aggression and wielding of death’s mark

The slowing of their orbits and seeming pause invokes a vision of being under the watchful gaze of developed mind (Uranus), heart (Neptune) and Will (Mars) to act. I would encourage you to re-read the posts about Uranus and Neptune’s Retrogrades.

Uranus Retrograde: Deflecting the Light

Lifting the Veil: Neptune Retrograde

Pluto’s Extremes

The Pluto retrograde in the astrological sign of Capricorn continues its efforts to bring into realization the mistakes and successes of past efforts. The goal is one of strengthening what moves forward from this point in a way that will insure that the resultant action taken will stand the test of successfully navigating future challenges. Pluto, in its form as the planet associated with Death and ancestral knowledge offers great potential for acceptance of the frailty of what we build if we only see its permanence defined in the present moment. The gift of Death is in the ability to reach back into the reserves of what created the being that we currently are and realize the impermanence of that vision as ever changing and reforming into what is continually in the process of being birthed anew.

The implication here is that accessing the Plutonian wisdom of all time and all space and using this as the tool of grounding (Capricorn is an Earth sign very much aligned with the mind-space of physical and spiritual vessel of self) can help to soothe the fiery flow that is agitating and ultimately stretching us- ready or not- towards a broader emotional perspective.

An Image of Transformation

When I was searching for an appropriate image (and title) for this post I had a specific vision in mind. As I went through multiple fields, none seem to speak to what I wanted to visually capture – until I came across the image of a Mudra. The depiction is a variation of the Jnana Mudra; most commonly seen in depictions of the Buddha and hands resting on each top of the thigh.

In the practice of using Mudras, the thumb indicates the Cosmic (Divine) principle of consciousness and the index finger represents the Individual (human) consciousness. The Jnana Mudra is considered the Mudra of Wisdom and is most commonly recognized as the position of the hands seen in support of a sitting meditation practice. In its simple form the fingers are relaxed and point downward (as in seated Buddha) and not interlaced.

jnana-mudra
In its expression of reaching towards Spirit the hand is placed with extended fingertips pointing upward (heavenward) at heart level. In the image I selected we have the interlacing of the circle of finger and thumb and the tips of both hands touching forming a triangular point heavenward. Wisdom is held within wisdom. The Divine and the human centered and finding the space of common ground(ing). Fire and water, sun and moon overlapping and becoming as one as the breath of air fuels the flame, moves the waters and is gently held in the circle of continuum that serves as foundation for the apex of Spirit arising.

The Breath of Liquid Flame

On the evening of the Full Moon our coven will be celebrating this Full Moon doing a working of pouring candles that each member uses in their personal work to connect with the energy of the coven. We chose this Aquarius Moon as the bringer of the charge of inspiration and mind to infuse our candles. We are an Air coven (meaning that our coven tool is a sword). Using the energy of this Full Moon we are calling on the flame (the heated wax) of potential to flow (melted wax) bringing us into the Light of our own Divinity (the work of solar Leo). We breathe into this liquid flame our energy to coalesce within the vessel of stability that we have crafted (hardened candle). And, the intent and subsequent use as a tool of connection when we are physically unable to be present honors the universal and visionary perspective of Aquarius as it seeks to unify and network for the future of humanity.
Blessings of this Full Moon!

Sun in Aquarius

Mercury Retrograde

The Moon is full in the astrological sign of Leo tomorrow. Leo is of the Fixed Modality and the element of Fire. The ruling planet is the Sun, so light and the pursuit of being in the spotlight are some of the motivations of Leo’s energy. In the phase of a Full Moon, the astrological signs of Sun and Moon are opposing in their energies. What that means is that the Sun is in the astrological sign directly opposite the sign of the Moon on the Zodiacal wheel. This alignment or aspect is the basis for the theories of conflict with signs of opposition. There is a natural tension that occurs between the two signs, each of a differing element yet of the same modality. Something like the family that shares biological (modality) lineage but each has their own specific personality (element) that is not always harmonious with the others but shares common experience.  I see these points of opposition as opportunities for great growth and potential for harmonizing the Lunar (intuitive/emotional) with the Solar (will/intent and desire). In the case of this month’s Sun and Moon, both are in fixed signs which offers support, stability, synthesis and the potential for structure.

This February Full Moon holds the energy of Sun in the Air sign of Aquarius and the Moon in the intensity of Fiery Leo. We all know the effects of air on fire, serving to either inflame or to extinguish, so the opportunity lies in our stealthy approach of action (Leo) to whatever we set that breath of Air (Aquarius) towards. The Sun in Aquarius offers the balance of bringing to the forefront (or light of day) those actions and inspirations that will be of benefit to the group and broader community; in contrast to the focus on individual success. The Moon in Leo stimulates change; the firing up of the passions of the emotional tides and the centering of attention on the “me” (the Lunar spotlight in the darkened theater).  The tension between the “we” and the “me” can, if used with just the correct amount of balance and synthesis, produce the ideal combination similar to that of a celebrity who uses their renown taking center stage spotlight to enlist community support for a project to better the lives of those who would have otherwise gone unnoticed held in the anonymity of their needs.

The Full Moon is the phase of peak and expression of the most there is to offer drawn up to a place of expansion from the depths of the emotional and intuitive nature of what has been previously the focus of its transformative work. Because these energies work by default at the subconscious (or often unconscious) levels the “stuff” carried into the full moon’s light is often transparent in its revealing. If this excavation has been done purposefully and with conscious intent the Full Moon works her magick of full disclosure and collaborative change. Using this primary directive filtered through the astrological sign of Leo who is represented as the Lion on the Zodiacal wheel adds the intensity of instinctual action and self-preservation. This is the raw and primal strength of the natural born leader surveying the expanse of the lands that are held within its domain. Arrival at this place of dominance and looming large has been carefully and precisely cultivated by previous successes resulting from the calculated action that will deflect from or draw attention to are part of the stealth needed when navigating the perils of our own emotional landscapes. Despite the pitfalls, this is the time for stepping fully into the glory of what your heart finds of inspiration, adventure and draws attention to your best offerings.

Now the caution to be had in stepping into this potent spotlight is in the added energy of a Retrograde Mercury. The planet, Mercury began its retrograde motion last week on the 6th in the astrological sign of Pisces; a sign of the element Water. Being the great communicator, Mercury’s focus of interaction was fueled from drinking deeply from the depths of the Piscean waters of healing, insight and emotional expression as it transited in its backwards reach into the astrological sign of Aquarius, yesterday, where it will remain until turning direct on February 28th. This retracing of the emotion infused communicative style through Aquarian mind could keep you stuck in bringing to the spotlight (Leo) those inventive ideas inspired by heart (Moon). However, with this opportunity to remain more fully in Mercury’s energy, it is also a good time to really dig deeply into what are the treasures and what are just the masks we put on to gather attention to ourselves as we interact.

This is a good time to re-examine how we present ourselves to the world. What we value as our public persona and what we wish to improve upon so that the image projected communicates more fully who we are. What would have shone brightly during this Full Moon and drawn the magnetic attention that is typical of Leo’s energy may not be what it seems under the influence of Mercury’s duality. Something may be lost in the translation and the tendency towards lackluster replaces what should have been dynamic. Remember that I mentioned in the beginning of this article that the tension of oppositions of Sun and Moon, the “we” and the “me”? Mercury will hold us accountable for re-visiting who we believe ourselves to be. Lady Moon will show us the full potential of that “me”. And Father Sun will call us to our place of community as part of the greater “we”.

As you move through the energy of this Full Moon gathering all of the astrological pieces envision the lion hunting under the brightness of the moon. He remains in the shadows, waiting, observing and calculating just the precise moment that will likely ensure success. From this place of shadow, this skilled hunter emerges into the light; taking action in full speed and full force with power and strength, taking down its prey. He takes his share of what has been killed; leaving behind what will feed others who will scavenge the remains as a result of his dynamic action.

A Poem to Meditate Upon:

fmleo12313

Rest looking out on moon lit waters
Pause anchored strongly in self-knowing
Moon shines on mirrored surface and
Water reaches towards primal force
Majestic in its Power and strength.

Rest looking out on deep expanse
All is your shining domain
The fires of Moon’s glow
Resplendent in its fullness
Lights the way as water’s
Will-filled heart returns to you.

New Moon in Aquarius
January 30.2014
4:30 p.m. (EST)

Sun in Aquarius

The Moon is New in the astrological Fixed Air sign of Aquarius today at 4:30 p.m. (EST).  At the point of the New Moon in any given month the Sun is generally mid-way in its progression through the same astrological sign.  We could think of this as Male (Sun) and Female (Moon), Strength and Ease, Action and Flow dancing in harmony with one another.  These are but a few of the polarities that could be used, but the basic action is that of illuminating the depths of our intuitive selves.  When we consider the Sun we think of dynamic and catalytic and combustible energy.  The Moon we sense as flowing and flexible in its expansion and contraction.  When Sun and Moon are in the same astrological sign at the time of the New Moon the Sun’s expression of that energy will be one of that holds the wisdom of the parent in its mid-cycle maturity.  Lady Moon is just beginning her flow of the astrological sign’s energy and opens her floodgates of possibility knowing that it will be brought into the light of day to be strengthened and supported.

In this case the floodgates to be opened are ones of electrically charged and innovative Aquarian outpour. The mental prowess of Gemini, also a chatty air sign, slows in comparison to that of the mentally agile and attuned Aquarian. Although there is often the tendency to have what is stated get lost in translation, because of unintentional omission.  The primary directive of the Aquarius energy is to see far and see wide, enabling the perception, assimilation and understanding of multiple streams of information and their varied outcomes.  The omission comes as by product of the ability to process that information very quickly moving from A-Z at the speed of light and confidently arriving at a singular conclusion; deeming what came in between irrelevant, the only goal being to arrive at a productive and viable end.

Now, my writing may seem very mechanical, almost sterile and robotic in its approach and I am intentionally doing this to give you a feel for what it is like to be in the mind of a strongly aspected Aquarian. Information comes as streams of breezy download with barely a moment’s pause between.  And, yes, I have a natal Aquarius Sun, which often makes it hard for me to understand why others do not see, what to me is the obvious and very logical conclusion. There is additionally, what is perceived as detached coldness about the decision making process. Aquarius has been given the distinction of being considered the humanitarian; but quite frankly that humanitarian label expresses itself in the ability to sacrifice the one for the greater good of the many. Again, this is formulated from seeing a bigger picture and potential outcome. And, although this does not necessarily make for an endearing individual, the need to know more to better serve trumps the usual pleasantries of social interaction.

Using the energy of an Aquarian Moon offers the ability to finely scrutinize while retaining the “heart” of the matter.  The ability to apply a broader perspective to an emotional situation can often move those waters in a more productive way, albeit not always arriving at the same stream.  The New Moon offers the impetus to get things going and to return to the beginning once again for a fresh look.  Think of an Aquarius New Moon as an opportunity to upgrade your computer (Mind and thoughts- Airy Aquarius) to a quicker and more efficient processor that will ultimately make your work much easier and much more enjoyable (emotional engagement and Feelings- The Moon).  Aquarius is of the Fixed modality, so whatever is upgraded, improved upon or given a jolt of fresh juice is going to be stable after multiple stages of synthesis, tweaking and modification.  This is an optimal time to jump ahead in trying a new piece of technology that would ultimatly save you time and energy that could be directed elsewhere.  Learning how to use a new device or online tool can be taken in the spirit of the New Moon and baby steps of beginning with the intent of giving it a go, and knowing that you can always go back to the status quo if you wish.

These are just a few of the general workings making use of an Aquarius New Moon:

  • Brainstorming ideas that would be of benefit to groups of people.  Starting a new initiative or  new charity.
  • Reaching out to others in a dynamic way to inspire them to take concrete and active steps towards a goal.
  • Formulating the plans that will underpin a new project.
  • Any magick that involves, science, creative problem solving, resolution of social conflicts, initializing action in what has become stagnant and archaic.

The social component to Aquarius has nothing to do with the feelings that being social brings. It is a means to an end in the quest to find out more about the world around us and the people in it. That is not to say that no emotional attachments are formed. Quite the contrary, it is usually because of the ability of being able to connect to another deeply and seeing that individual in the light of different perspectives that keeps Aquarius at arms length on the surface. New Moon energy makes use of this in deepening the understanding you have of why and how another acts and thinks, and then anchoring your feelings on the deeper knowledge of what makes that person tick.  In this way you are seeing a more expansive and broader view and able to love (or despise) that person more deeply for who they truly are while acknowledging the potential of who they could become.

The Venus Retrograde stations Direct on Friday, January 31st and the last call to harness what has percolated during this time is at hand.  Aquarius loves to sort through the most complex material to unravel the threads that have delayed action.  The bolstering of the New Moon energy serves to propel your revelations found during this Venus retrograde forward.  What results may appear to be intermingled and interwoven threads, but there is specific structure and order to the way in which it has been woven.  The relationships you have decided to continue or renew and the way in which you relate to yourself and your personal gifts have opportunity to move into a new state of being carried on the dynamic energies of Aquarius Sun and Moon.

Waning Moon in Aquarius

July 23

Today has been a rather odd day. I arrived at work very early greeted by seven or so crows on the roof of the building.  The air had the quality of Fall and the whole day has felt like the pressure that existed for the days prior had suddenly been released.  As I was driving to work I was thinking about the next transit of the moon into Pisces tomorrow at 2:22p.m. and what emotional stirrings that would evoke.  Apparently there was a huge thunder storm (and lightening) last night which I slept soundly through. Usually the air feels clean and vibrant the next day, but not the case.  Although there was less a feeling of pressure, the air seemed denser as though consisting of finer particles.

The moon went void today at 10:01am and so I am just trying to relax my usual pushing to make breakthroughs  that accompanies an Aquarius Full Moon (Aquarius is my natal Sun) and see how much further and more clearly I can see without the unnecessary pressure.  Not much to write- it’s just one of those days!

July 22

Full Moon in Aquarius at 2:16 p.m.

Sun Enters Leo at 11:56 am.

July 22 Full

Today we arrive at the Full Moon and the progression of the Sun into the astrological sign of Leo. We have moved from the strength and light (the Sun) of the flowing and depth of renewed and healing waters (in Cardinal sign of Cancer) and are now transitioned into the full impact of the Fixed Fire of Leo.  It will be the heat and scrutiny of this Solar energy that will work in tandem with that of the lunar cycle we have begun. If you remember I made reference in the beginning that we were starting this journey at the New Moon in Cancer which falls midway after the Sun had moved into the same sign.  I like to think of this pattern as the strengthening and bringing into the light of the next phase of energy that the Moon in its Newness will take up the work of refining and softening what has been previously established.  Similar to the cooling down and then refining of the heated metal as the sword with direct and sharpness of point is crafted.

Now we have the fixed (or stabilized) energy of the Leo Sun to energize fully the Moon’s flow as the release and waning of the moon begins from the point of fullness here forward. In balance to the Sun’s astrological energy, the Moon is Full in its polar opposite sign of Aquarius.  Aquarius is of the Air element and also of the Fixed Modality.  The expression of the Full Moon in Aquarius is ripe for expression and bringing to the forefront visionary and creative ideas.  The impulse of Aquarius is one of service to humanity- not the individual- but the collective whole of humanity. The tension that is created between the Sun in Leo (Fire and Will) and the Moon in Aquarius (Air and Mind) is often one of ego driven will of the singular “I” (Leo) versus true humanitarian action through inspired thought (Aquarius) for the benefit of “All”.  The mid point of balance between these extremes is in balancing the intelligence (Aquarius) of the Heart (Lunar) with Mindful and overt(Solar) action (Leo).

I know this might seem like a lot to process, but there is nothing simple about today’s energies.  The potential and the density of that potential in being able to step fully into a more service-oriented capacity is abundant.  In fact, one of the attributes of Leo is calling attention to oneself and being in the spotlight as a leader. Add the Aquarian mind of today’s Full Moon and you have the visionary and the role model that can problem solve what the future has yet to birth. So, in simple terms what all of this means is that as we move through the transiting of the Moon in completion of this journey, we can bring these transformed depths of emotion and intuitive sight into the spotlight.  We can more fully live and bring into the light of day the example of all parts of our self working in accord with what our vision of that true SELF is.  This essence of the ferocity of enlivened Will is going to be useful as we move into the waning cycle of the Moon’s phases and approach the shadow of moon and darkening of Her light.

As I sat in meditation today, these were the energies that I wanted to align with. I envisioned the strength and fire of Leo moving across every corner and space of our planet.  I thought of how this Light could heal and cleanse what could no longer hide in the shadows under its watchful eye.  I called to mind the ability to process and understand the greater potential that is held within humanity.  I thought of the courage needed to step across the threshold of a new age and the energies of Aquarius being informed by compassion and insight. I lit the New Moon and Full Moon candles and gave thanks for the work of anchoring I had done two days prior. I felt the surge of energy and saw as though from great heights out beyond the horizon and the scope of what I could possibly dare to dream.  The moon shone full and bright and lit up the sky infused with a deep golden glow that signified the union of Will and Heart. I offered up thanks for all that I have learned about myself so far on this journey and asked for the clarity to be able to share these gifts and insights with others.

July 21

Waxing Full in Capricorn

Void of Course 11:53am

July 21

Today marks the holding point before the incoming energies of Aquarius and the fullness of Lady Moon.  It  feels as though these energies are primed and ready to burst forth. It reminds me of  how the overwhelming pressure of water on a dam at times proves too much; allowing the waters to break through flowing freely, strongly and of  their own accord.

The moon spent most of the morning hours in Capricorn, and I tried to fully embrace  the proverbial scaling of the heights and reaching into the depths  that typifies Capricorn.  After working my Full Moon Ritual last night and calling on the energies of Cardinal Earth to anchor this work, I bolstered that goal this morning with a short meditation envisioning myself fully grounded and aligned with all parts of myself functioning like the buoy in the midst of a stormy sea.  It rises and crests remaining intact despite the chaos and disruption surrounding.

Ironically, today is Sunday so I am turning my attention towards the tasks to be accomplished for the week, the reaching out that is required and the social collaboration that is needed.  All of this on the evening before the Moon reaches its fullness in the sign of Aquarius-the global citizen with foci of attention on the greater humanity.

With most of the day having been spent with the moon void and transiting from one sign to the other, I am feeling as though today is the last day to ride the waves of Cancer’s crests. This void is the neutrality before entering its new sign.  The Sun is positioning to leave the sign of Cancer tomorrow and will enter the astrological energy of Leo for whom it is the ruling planet. So, I will gather all the skill I have honed attuning to the strength of the Sun’s light shining fully in the intuitive mysteries of the lunarscape of Cancer and see where my point of balance has shifted so I may continue the movement forward with each rising of the emotional waters as this journey continues.
